Ali Ibn Mahziar Mausoleum is one of the oldest and most important monuments of Ahwaz City. Ali Ibn Mahziar was one of the Shia scholars, jurists and disciples of Imam Reza (peace be upon him). In 816, a mosque was constructed on the place where Imam Reza had resided in his visit of Ahwaz, and after the death of Ibn Mahziar, he was buried in this mosque. Today this shrine is a place where people gather for pilgrimage and supplication.
