Coronavirus Death Toll Rises in Iran as IRI Health Officials Contemplate on Possible National Lockdown
COVID19 has claimed more than 40 thousand lives in Islamic Republic of Iran. The red zone is growing larger due to the negligence of the citizens and officials are thinking of the possible national lockdown.

Tehran, SAEDNEWS, Nov. 10: "According to definitive laboratory findings in November 9, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 reached 10,463 cases out of whom 3,574 patients were hospitalized," Lari stated. She added that in the past 24 hours, 458 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 38,749. 5,561 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, 5,263,173 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman noted.

She pointed out that Provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamedan, Yazd, and Kurdistan are regarded as red zones.

"Hormozgan, Fars, Golestan, and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces are also regarded as orange and yellow zones," Lari added.
