Ganj Ali Khan Public Bath Museum in Kerman
Public bath was once one of the key public services in Iran. Public bath was not indeed just for washing one's body rather it also served as a place for meetings and social relations. These public places even provided to opportunity for discussions of the future of society.

Ganj Ali Khan Public Bath Museum is located in Kerman City and in present time, its application has changed and it is now used as a museum of ethnology. This building was constructed by “Ganj Ali Khan” the Ruler of Kerman City who was himself its founder (Ganj Ali Khan Complex of Kerman) in Safavid Era. This is an expression of the magnificent architecture of Safavid Era. This Public Bath is located in Kerman Bazaar and southern part of Ganj Ali Khan Square and northern part of Men’s Public Bath of Ganj Ali Khan. After the turns of muddy allies that are constructed in beautiful way, one reaches this Public Bath. This Bath like Ganj Ali Khan Men’s Traditional Bath has a locker room, hot chamber and other elements. This public bath due to its special coordinates as well as its beautiful dimensions and its location near Men’s Public Bath is of great importance insofar as in construction of parts of this building, integrated stone columns are used.

The entrance of this Public Bath is connected to the locker room space with several stairs downward. The cover of arc and the dome of this Public Bath relying on stone columns are fabulous. The Hot Chamber of this Public Bath is of an almost rectangular space that is located on several columns and side walls and the bottom of the Hot Chamber is covered with precious stones. This bath is now decorated with models of Wedding Dress of different Iranian Ethnicities. These models are statues of women who are the target of introduction of different Iranian ethnic groups. Now many tourists visit this bath. The total area of this Public Bath is 350 meters and it was active until 1960s. It was renovated in 2009 and got opened in 2011.
