IAEA Chief Grossi to Visit Iran Next Week, Meet FM, AEOI Head
Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi is due to travel to Tehran next Monday to meet and hold talks with the high-ranking Iranian officials, a spokesman said.

Geneva, SAEDNEWS: “Grossi will arrive in Tehran next Monday (November 22) and will meet and hold talks with Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian on Tuesday (November 23),” AEOI Spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi told FNA on Wednesday.

He added that the trip will take place in line with cooperation between Iran and the UN nuclear watchdog.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh had also earlier this month said that Grossi had been invited to travel to Tehran and he was scheduled to meet with Amir Abdollahian and Eslami.

In a relevant development in September, the AEOI and the IAEA had agreed to keep on their cooperation on the basis of mutual respect and good faith.

Eslami and Grossi reached the agreement during their talks in Austrian capital of Vienna.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the need to establish ties based on mutual respect and good faith.

In addition, AEOI chief and IAEA director general exchanged their views on mutual cooperation in various areas and issues of mutual interests.

Eslami had traveled toVienna to take part in the 65th General Conference of IAEA (Source: FARSNEWS).
