Iran Historical Sites: Aq Emam Shrine of Azadshahr
There are lots of holy shrines and sites in Iran due to the Shia majority of the land. The progeny of Shia Imams is called Imamzadeh (the son of Imam). In every place, you can find one or even two or three of these burial sites that mark the presence of the progeny of Imams in Iran.

This shrine is located on Aq Emam Mountain 6 kilometers of northern side of Azadshahr Division and belongs to His Highness Mohammad Ibn Esmaeil Ibn Hassan Ibn Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) who established Zeydiyyah Initiation of Alavis in Tabarestan (Mazandaran) with his brother Hassan better known as “Great Messiah” in 864.
