Iran: US sanctions block path for humanitarian aids to Afghan refugees
Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the UN headquarters in Geneva warned on Wednesday that the unjust US sanctions are the main obstacle in the way of solidarity to assist the Afghan nation.

London, SAEDNEWS: Esmail Baqaee Hamaneh in an address on the sidelines of a UNHCR meeting stressed that an all-inclusive government comprising of all Afghan ethnic groups and tribes needs to be established there to represent the entire religions and races, respect the human rights, and have good neighborly ties with Afghanistan's neighbors.

He referred to the negative aftermaths of military intervention in Afghanistan, and said, "Under such conditions the people of Afghanistan deserve the international community’s understanding and support."

"In Afghanistan no humanitarian contribution takes the place of peace and sustainable stability, and the international community must heed its responsibility on proper supporting of the Afghan nation," added the Iranian ambassador.

He said that the US unilateral sanctions have made many of the humanitarian efforts made to assist the refugees face serious difficulties.

"If the US cannot solve any problems, it can at least stop inflicting more harms," said Baqaee Hamaneh (Source: IRNA).
