Scientific and technological deputy of the health ministry, knowledge-based companies such as Barakat Foundation, Razi, and Pasteur institutes have been working on a vaccine since the initial days of the coronavirus outbreak, he said, expressing hope that Iran will be one of the pioneer producers in the region.

Namaki highlighted that the world is facing the third wave of coronavirus outbreak, and Iran tries to control the epidemic by having more than 100,000 tests daily.

Iran, besides all countries in the world, started working on a COVID-19 vaccine and took three main steps in this regard. Second, started a common project with volunteer countries to work on a vaccine. Third, knowledge-based companies took effective steps in producing a vaccine.
