Iran's wrestling champion Gerai wins 4th gold medal in Norway
Mohammad Reza Gerai, the courageous Greco-Roman wrestler, and star of the world matches in Oslo in 67 kg weight, defeated his Russian Olympics gold medal winner competitor in the final match to gain the game's gold medal.

Oslo, SAEDNEWS: The 2021 Greco-Roman competitions that began on October 7 will end tonight (Sunday) after announcing the world top wrestlers and teams. The ranking and final matches of the 60, 97, and 130 kg weights began at 7:30 pm, yesterday at Jordal Wrestling Hall of Oslo, Norway.

In the final, Gerai faced the EU silver medal holder Nazir Rachidovitch Abdullaev from Russia, with his typical calm mood, and in the 2nd round with a nice waist technique managed to beat him 5-2 and gain the gold medal. This was the Iranian national Greco-Roman team’s 4th gold medal in 2021 Oslo World Wrestling Championship.

Moments before that Meysam Delkhani, Iran national Greco-Roman wrestling team’s 63 kg beating his Georgian competitor in the final match of his weight had gained the world gold medal.

Iranian national team’s other two gold medals were gained by the 97 kg weight Mohammad Mehdi Saravi, the 130 kg weight Ali Akbar Yusefi, and the 77 kg weight Mohammad Ali Gerai and 82 kg weight Pezhman Poshtam had secured their bronze medals (Source: IRNA).
