Iraq keen on getting rid of consequences of futile wars
Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi on Sunday said that Iraq is keen on getting rid of the consequences of futile wars.

Tehran, SAEDNEWS: He made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in Tehran, expressing gratitude for Iran's help during the fight against Daesh terrorist group.

Both sides discussed a set of files related to development of mutual ties and we are determined to bolster the level of our relations in the interests of the two nations as much as possible, he pointed out.

Referring to the cultural similarities between two states, he stated that the two countries share 1,400-kilometer borders while their mutual ties are much broader.

My nation have a democratic culture and they want to strengthen relations with all their neighbors, he further noted.

Iraq's stance regarding Iran is firm, he said, noting that the Iraqi government and people stand by the Iranians at the time of all challenges (Source: IRNA).
