Maestro Mohammad Reza Shajarian a legendary figure in the history of art, poetry and music of Iran passed away at 80. His death mobilized millions of his lovers and fans. His name is equal to love in one sense and many Iranian elite in different areas of knowledge endorse his musical career as unrivalled in the whole history of classic music.

Mohammad Reza Shajarian the Great Maestro of Iranian classic music represents a prolific musical mind in the whole history of music in Iran. Masestro Shajarian revolutionized many fields of musical activity in traditional platform and introduced new methods in musical presentation. He was born into a traditional family in Khurasan northeast of Iran. His father was a commentator of Quran and Maestro Shajarian also had a great interest in reading Quran with his beautiful voice. He even won the national competition of Quran recital. His shift to music and classic singing was indeed a turning point in the whole history of music in Iran. He created several albums each one of which is now considered as an example of a new experiment in the field of classic music in Iran. He attended hundreds of musical events and held numerous concerts inside the country and abroad. His fans were not all Persian speaking rather many people who did not even understand the poems sang by him enjoyed listening his songs.
