Tabriz-Ankara weekly flights launched
Managing director of East Azarbaijan Province's Airports said here on Sunday that Tabriz-Ankara and return flights were launched as of Sunday from International Shahid Madani Airport of Tabriz, increasing that airport’s foreign flights to four a week.

Tehran, SAEDNEWS: Ramin Azari who was speaking before the first Tabriz-Ankara flight by an Anadolu Jet Airlines plane, said that the flight that landed on schedule at 15:05, will land here every Sunday at the same time, and will take off for Ankara at 16:00, the same evening.

Azari said that Martyr Madani Airport of Tabriz has 12 local and four foreign flights to Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir and Yerevan.

He said that 15 Iranian and four foreign airlines carry the passengers from Madani Airport, whose number is expected to increase till the Iranian year end.

Turkey’s Consul General in Tabriz Tufan Hebuk, too, expressed hope at the launching ceremony of the new Tabriz-Ankara flight that the move will lead to facilitating the connections between the two cities, and particularly the frequenting of passengers, especially the merchants and businessmen (Source: IRNA).
